Home Sweet Texas Loan Program
HOME SWEET TEXAS LOAN PROGRAM is offered through the Texas State Affordable Housing Corporation, provides below market 30-year fixed rate mortgage loans to eligible home buyers wishing to achieve the American dream of home ownership. In addition to a low interest rate, this program offers down payment and closing cost assistance, up to 5% of the mortgage loan amount, in the form of a grant.
TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THESE PROGRAMS, HOME BUYER MUST BE:
A first-time home buyer or have not had an ownership interest in any
principal residence during the last three years or purchasing a home in a targeted area;
Reside in Texas;
Meet the income and home purchase price limits;
Meet standard mortgage underwriting requirements, demonstrating credit worthiness; and Occupy the purchased home as their primary residence
